You can have the greatest business in the world with the most powerful message but it will not do you any good falling on deaf ears, or no ears for that matter. To get your name and your business out there you must market. Not only do you have to market, you must market effectively.
While the industry you serve will play a major role in how you market and who you market to, let’s take a look at short simple steps that everyone should be doing:

1.) Set goals for your company
Know what your message is, what problem you will solve for your customers and what you want to be known for.
2.) Understand where you should be
Depending on your business, know if you should be advertising locally or if online is better. If you will be online using social media, understand what platforms will work best for the business you have. You do not need to be on all of them.
3.) Know your target market
If you yelled very loudly in a room with dozens of people, it’s likely no one would hear what you have to say. Ineffective marketing is essentially doing the same. Everyone is not your customer. Let me say that one more time, EVERYONE is NOT your customer. You need to come to terms with who will consume your product or desire your services. Then you must narrow down your marketing efforts to speak so that they hear you, be in the places where they will be and give them the answer to their problem.
Next week we can get more in to finding your target market for tailored marketing efforts. Your marketing is going to be the heart and soul of your efforts because without it, no one knows that you exist.

Greetings! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!

Hi, off topic is cool👍 …however, I’m actually not sure what to recommend about the plug-in you’re looking for. But if you go to the Plug-In section in your dashboard, you can do a search for one and see how other people reviewed it to find the one you’d like to try out.
